Once upon a time, face-to-face office meetings between a boss and employee were the norm, and interviews were conducted in person. Not anymore. Today, executives, hiring managers, and recruiters are increasingly relying on online meetings utilizing Skype, Face Time and other real time video meetings and interviews in lieu of upfront and personal interaction.

The confluence of exquisite technology with constant executive travel, frenetic schedules, and companies enabling teams to live and operate remotely from headquarters has increasingly compromised personal interaction, a missing link in effective communications.
