AVENEL, NJ–O'Neill Logistics has leased an 82,250-square-foot warehouse and distribution property in Avenel. Industrial leasing specialists Dan Badenhausen and Andrew Stypafrom Cushman & Wakefield's Edison office represented the landlord and tenant in the long-term transaction. The team maintains long-standing relationships with senior management from both organizations.

The Eden Wood Realty property at 6AB Terminal Way is adjacent to O'Neill's headquarters operation; it effectively doubles its local operation.

Founded in 2013 through the merger of O'Neill Consultants, ONF Systems, Metro Logistics and the California operation of ADI Logistics, O'Neill Logistics offers core competencies in logistics, transportation and supply chain management. Its consulting division assists clients of all sizes in operating efficient global and domestic supply chains.

O'Neill Logistics experienced significant growth during its first full year of operation,” says Badenhausen. “When it became clear the firm required space to accommodate a significant expansion, we looked at properties throughout the regional market area – where large blocks are increasingly difficult to come by as the industrial market tightens. At the end of the day, a building right in our client's own back yard provided the perfect fit, offering ample ceiling heights for a complex racking system and 18 loading doors.”

O'Neill Logistics CEO Robert J. O'Neill says his firm is experiencing significant growth at all of its gateway facilities – especially within East Coast markets as importers and retailers redistribute their supply chains in anticipation of the 2017 Panama Canal expansion and continued decline of the West Coast gateways.

“Importers are increasing inventory levels in anticipation of continued challenges within the global supply chains,” says O'Neill. “Cushman & Wakefield assisted in finding an expansion facility to accommodate a recent contract award within 60 days, and expedited the lease negotiations to assist with our short timelines “
