SAN FRANCISCO–The Northern California chapter of SIOR brokers were involved in a 916,034-square-foot industrial sale earlier this year valued at $51.5 million in Stockton, CA. Other significant transactions during the past quarter included a 153,000-square-foot office/R&D sale valued at $40.8 million and a 105,801-square-foot R&D sale valued at $30 million, both in Sunnyvale, CA. Another transaction topping the charts was a 123,417-square-foot office lease valued at $27.2 million in Sacramento.

The Northern California chapter's president is Ken Reiff of DTZ and the vice president is Mark Triska with Colliers International. Also with Colliers International is the secretary, Todd Severson; the board member at large, Ed Hofer; and membership/admissions chair, Tom Tyer. The treasurer is John Hans of Rossetti Company and past president is John Robbins with Carpenter Robbins Tenant Advisory Services.

Reiff tells GlobeSt.com: “SIOR has nearly 200 transaction specialists in Northern California. Real estate professionals who have earned the SIOR designation are recognized as the most capable and experienced brokerage practitioners in the market.”

On a national basis, SIOR members complete more than 80,000 transactions annually. SIOR has more than 3,000 members in more than 630 cities in 34 countries.

The chapter has many noteworthy events for the remainder of the year including the annual golf tournament at Wente Vineyards in Livermore, CA. During the summer, the Reno/Tahoe dinner meeting will be held at Edgewood Lake Tahoe. In the fall, the chapter will celebrate with the World Champion San Francisco Giants during the fall match up with the Cincinnati Reds at AT&T Park in San Francisco on September 16.

“The board is made up of many of the industry's most distinguished real estate professionals and the event roster promises to educate, engage and entertain our members and prospective members throughout the year,” Reiff continues.

GlobeSt.com partnered with SIOR for its Spring World Conference earlier this month in Palm Desert, CA.
