NEWARK, NJ—Veteran real estate attorney David A. Kaufman joined Herrick, Feinstein LLP's real estate department, based out of the law firm's Newark office.
Kaufman, who advises owners, developers and financial institutions in real estate transactions and financings, comes to the firm from Fried Frank. Before that, he was general counsel of Rechler Equity/R Squared Real Estate Partners, a major real estate investment firm operating throughout the New York metropolitan area.
“I've sat 'across the table' from Herrick attorneys many times on deals and I am proud to have been a Herrick client for years when I worked as a general counsel," Kaufman tells GlobeSt.com exclusively. "I look forward to working at a firm with which I have had this long-standing relationship and to be a part of a team that serves its clients so well.”
Herrick's attorneys and urban planners represent public and private companies on a full spectrum of issues, including financing and acquisitions, land use and zoning, development and construction, hospitality, distressed debt, leasing, litigation and government relations.
"We are excited to welcome David to Herrick's real estate department, which we've expanded recently with five new attorney hires," says Herrick real estate chair Belinda Schwartz. “David's diverse experience in acquisitions, financings, leasing and joint ventures strengthens our transactional presence in New Jersey and will be a valuable asset for our New York clients.”
