PHOENIX—Velocity Retail Group, LLC was recently awarded the retail leasing assignment for High Street located within the Desert Ridge master planned community in northeast Phoenix at the Loop 101 and 56th Street.

“High Street is a first class retail project that combines all of the components that today's shoppers seek,” says Darren Pitts, executive vice president at Velocity Retail Group. “With a mix of retail, restaurant, residential, office, entertainment and event uses, this destination is ground zero for those seeking an interactive lifestyle.”

The entire project totals 628,000 square feet of class A offices, luxury residential and superior retail. The retail includes 175,000 square feet of ground floor options offering stunning finishes, flexible floor plans, and charming tree-lined streets for visitors to access current and future shopping favorites. Plans for Phase 2 are now underway and will include additional retail.

Charles Ferguson, of ScanlanKemperBard Companies, and general manager for High Street is in charge of the tenant strategy while providing visitors and residents alike the absolute best in dining, entertainment and shopping choices for visitors to High Street. “High Street offers four city blocks of superior restaurant, entertainment, and retail suites. We offer a 24/7 environment that appeals to each of our most important customer segments. We are pleased to be able to partner with Velocity Retail to help bring significant new tenants into our existing family,” Ferguson says.

High Street currently offers visitors culinary choices such as Cameron Mitchell's Ocean Prime, Valley favorites La Bocca Wine Bar & Urban Kitchen and Scottsdale's own Kona Grill, as well as the state's premier night clubs Blue Martini and Modern Margarita. Entertainment venues include Rick Bronson's House of Comedy, and Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill offer nonstop options for all. Other choices include Sprouts Express Market, and several retailers offering personal services and daily needs all in one location.
