LAKESIDE, CA—KB Home has celebrated the grand opening of its hilltop Ridgeline community here conveniently near some of San Diego's most important employment centers.
Ridgeline is close to Interstate 8, Highways 52 and 67, and a station for the San Diego Trolley, which offers a fun way to travel throughout San Diego. In addition, with KB Home's unique homebuilding approach, homebuyers at Ridgeline are able to personalize their home to their individual preferences by selecting the lot and floor plan of their choice and then customizing décor elements, such as flooring and paint colors. Pricing begins in the low-$500,000s.
The homes at Ridgeline will be ENERGY STAR certified, meaning they are some of the most energy-efficient available today and have the potential to save homeowners money on their utility costs when compared to typical new or resale homes.
For example, at current residential electric rates, KB Home estimates that a KB homeowner living in a 2,076 square foot home at Ridgeline could save more than $1,800 annually in energy costs compared to a typical, similarly-sized resale home. Solar power systems are also available at Ridgeline to help homeowners further reduce their energy consumption.
Additionally, all KB homes include a number of water-saving features to help reduce use and save money. The standard water-efficient features included in every KB home, such as WaterSense labeled faucets, toilets, and showerheads, can save up to an estimated 30,000 gallons of water and $300 in utility bills annually when compared to a home that lacks these features.
KB Home's Ridgeline is now open at 13210 Cuyamaca Vista Drive in Lakeside.
