PHOENIX—Veteran real estate experts Kurt Rosene and Justin Miller have formed NOVO Development, LLC, a commercial real estate development company headquartered in Scottsdale.

Rosene, who recently received the NAIOP Phoenix Award of Excellence, has spent more than 25 years in the commercial real estate field. He has provided development, leasing and management expertise to a variety of projects throughout the United States. Rosene most recently served as senior vice president of The Alter Group, where he led national development and the western region.

Miller began his career in real estate more than 15 years ago as a broker at Grubb & Ellis. His expertise falls in the area of large office developments, land transactions and acquisitions & dispositions. After working as a broker, Miller joined The Alter Group in 2011 as a vice president focused on planning, marketing and development of several large Phoenix business parks.

The combined expertise of Rosene and Miller will lead NOVO Development in its mission to procure and implement development strategies in a variety of commercial real estate arenas. The company is pursuing opportunities in the office, industrial, retail, multifamily, medical, sports and hospitality fields.

“We offer a unique combination of long-standing expertise and proven professionalism with the creative and dynamic entrepreneurial attitude necessary to take full advantage of ever changing market conditions,” says Rosene. “Justin and I enjoy remarkable relationships with a wide variety of clients, partners and community leaders. We are excited to work with these people, as well as new contacts, in creating high quality projects with value for clients and the communities where they are located.”

Miller adds, “We created the company to be nimble and flexible. Instead of having a large employee base, we have focused on partnering with experts in each field of real estate from architects to engineers to brokers enabling quick decisions. We also want to create an environment where people enjoy doing business with us.”

NOVO 's first project will be the re-development of an existing multi-family project at 1420 E. Bethany Home Rd. in Phoenix. The property will be rebranded as Rezide Uptown. Plans call for a comprehensive modernization of the project, including full renovation of the exterior and interior. The units will feature a clean, mid-century modern design. The Rezide name will be NOVO's brand moving forward for all residential properties.
