PHOENIX—CBRE has negotiated a 33,958-square-foot office lease at Papago Technology Center located at 1700 N. Desert Dr. in Tempe.

Ipro Tech, LLC, a worldwide leader in the design of eDiscovery workflow software, has leased the space to accommodate the company's growing operations.

“Ipro has experienced over 35% employee growth in the past three years. The new location is close to ASU, Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, near the light rail, and has easy access to freeways. The interior design by Krause Interior Architecture, Inc. will provide a great place to work and help us attract and retain top talent,” says Bret Lawson, chief financial officer of Ipro.

Bryan Taute of CBRE's Phoenix office represented the landlord, Phoenix-based WDP Partners, in negotiating the long-term lease agreement. Ipro was represented by Blake Hardison with Keyser.

“IPro's move to Tempe is consistent with overall trends driving the Valley's office market. There is definitely an urban migration happening in a variety of submarkets and Tempe is one of the leaders of this migration,” says Taute. “Companies, particularly tech companies like iPro, recognize their employees want to work in amenity rich environments with access to public transit, multifamily housing options, and vibrant recreation and nightlife. Papago Tech Center offers all of those things: it's right on the light rail, it's adjacent to the Mill Avenue and Tempe Town Lake districts, and Papago Park is literally in its backyard.”

This lease marks a strategic expansion for Ipro as the company continues its rapid growth.

Ipro also plans significant tenant improvements to help the company reach their goal of an “award winning” space. Initial plans for the space include a state-of-the-art training facility, large outdoor meeting and recreation area, bike racks, shower facilities, mini market, and a mezzanine lounge and break area for employees to enjoy.

“Ipro was very intentional about securing a building and space that would reflect their company culture and support their continued growth. Papago Technology Center represents a perfect fit that will only be made better once Ipro's unique build-out is completed,” adds Hardison.

Taute comments, “The plans Ipro has for their newly leased space is another great example of a cutting edge technology company being mindful of the employee experience and understanding that in order to recruit and retain the best talent, they need to create an environment that employees enjoy and that will foster a sense of community and collaboration.”
