NEW YORK CITY—W. P. Carey Inc. said Tuesday that Jason Fox had been named president of the net lease REIT. Fox's new duties, which he will assume while continuing to serve as global head of investments, are part of a series of changes in senior management responsibilities announced Tuesday.

Until recently, WPC CEO Trevor Bond also bore the title of president. A spokesman for the REIT tells GlobeSt.com the change reflects Fox's increased involvement with broader corporate matters. In this new senior leadership role he will assist Bond with the company's management, in addition to overseeing its investment activities, a global role Fox assumed earlier this year. He has been with the company since 2002.

In addition, Hisham Kader has been appointed the company's CFO and managing director. He had been its chief accounting officer since 2012, in addition to serving as either CFO and/or CAO for certain of its non-traded REITs during that time.  He joined the company in 2011 as global corporate controller.

Kader is succeeding Katy Rice as CFO as she takes on a newly created internal advisory role. As senior managing director, she will focus on examining the company's core businesses; she'd been CFO since 2013.
