SAN RAMON, CA–Bank of the West, the regional financial services company, has added 40,000 square feet to its leased space at Bishop Ranch, a business park located on the Interstate 680 corridor. The lease will expand Bank of the West's office space into Bishop Ranch 15, the five-story building located at 12667 Alcosta Blvd.

With the current expansion, the company will occupy nearly 436,000 square feet within Bishop Ranch. In 2009, Bank of the West moved its regional offices to Bishop Ranch, initially leasing 240,000 square feet of space in Bishop Ranch 7.

Alexander Mehran Jr., president and COO of Sunset Development Company, Bishop Ranch's planner and developer, tells GlobeSt.com: "We are thrilled that Bank of the West is expanding its operations at Bishop Ranch for the sixth time. Bank of the West's expansion exemplifies a key reason that many companies choose to locate at Bishop Ranch—the ability to grow with us. We pride ourselves on delivering great service and being ready to accommodate our customer's growth needs over the long term."

Bishop Ranch, owned and operated by Sunset Development Company, is located on 585 acres in the San Ramon Valley, and is the largest mixed-use business community in Northern California. The prosperous surrounding communities–192,000 residents within a six- mile radius–have an average household income of $162,000.

“We're honored that so many companies have relocated or expanded their presence here and pleased that they find value in the high-quality business environment we've fostered,” says Mehran.

Bishop Ranch is home to 30,000 employees at 600 companies in more than 30 industries. Among the tenants are many Fortune 500 companies including AT&T, Chevron, General Electric, IBM, PG&E, Robert Half, Toyota and Berkshire Hathaway. Bishop Ranch offers flexibility for the space requirements of companies large and small, and its tenants occupy spaces from 150 square feet to more than 1 million square feet. Employees at Bishop Ranch enjoy amenities and on-site services including transportation programs, professional seminars and networking opportunities, special offers and discounts, gourmet food trucks and a farmers market.

As previously reported, Donor Network signed a full-floor lease at Bishop Ranch 15 recently.
