CHICAGO—The Chicago office of Lee & Associates, a broker-owned commercial real estate firm, has just promoted Michael Plumb to principal.

“Since Mike joined our office as an associate, he has worked himself up the ranks with hard work, a tireless dedication to his craft, and a willingness to listen and learn,” says Brian Tader, president and managing director of Lee & Associates of Illinois. “Mike has established himself as one of Chicago's top young brokers and has become a valuable asset to our office and clients.”

Plumb joined Lee & Associates in 2010 and specializes in business development and client services in and around the O'Hare submarkets. His client base includes entrepreneurial users and owners throughout the greater Chicagoland area and some of the largest institutional owners in the US.

Before joining Lee, Plumb was an assistant vice president with Robert A. Schmitz & Co. in Rolling Meadows, IL, a Chicago suburb, from 2003 to 2009. There, he was mentored by Bob Schmitz and Dan Curtis while he cut his teeth in industrial real estate.

A graduate from the University of Wisconsin—Steven's Point, where he earned a BA in business administration with a concentration in Spanish, he also was a member of the varsity football team.
