MIAMI—Brickell City Tower, a 33-story office building in the heart of Downtown Miami's Brickell Financial District, is adding some high-profile tenants to its roster. The 287,000 square foot office tower just inked leases with Uber and The South Florida Business Journal, as well as renewals or extensions with Lamex Agrifoods, Inlingua Language School and Verizon.

The combined leases account for more than 23,449 square feet of office space. Financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

Uber, an affordable transportation option that competes with traditional taxi services, is a new-to-market tenant, leased 9,333 square feet of space for its new Miami headquarters. Danet Linares and Alexander Cahlin of Blanca Commercial Real Estate represented Brickell City Tower. Shay Pope of CBRE represented Uber.
