SAN FRANCISCO–Peter Mette will focus on sourcing deals in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest as part of his new role at Westcore Properties. As the new director of acquisitions, he will grow the company's industrial and office portfolio.
With 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, Mette has acquired more than $1 billion of real estate, encompassing 4 million square feet of office and industrial space, throughout his career. Mette will work directly with the brokerage community to acquire industrial and office buildings.
Don Ankeny, president and CEO at Westcore Properties, tells GlobeSt.com: “We knew the moment we met Peter he would be a good fit at Westcore. What we didn't realize was how well liked and respected he was by everyone in the business. His relationships are outstanding. The hiring of Peter Mette is already paying huge dividends on the business development front.”
Victoria Grether, a 10-year veteran at Westcore, previously served in this role. She recently relocated to Southern California and is now vice president of asset management with a primary focus on asset-level initiatives and transaction management across Westcore's entire portfolio.
Prior to joining the team at Westcore Properties, Mette was a director at Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management, responsible for acquisitions in California. Mette also served as senior vice president role at KBS Realty Advisors, where he was responsible for acquisitions in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.
Mette tells GlobeSt.com: "I look forward to expanding our investment platform throughout not only the Bay Area, but also to include the Seattle and Portland markets." As previously reported, the firm's plans include the Pacific Northwest.
