NEW YORK CITY—Hunt Mortgage Group has brought on a senior managing director to lead the firm's capital markets effort. Appointee Jon Trauben joins the CRE lender from Barclays.
At Hunt, he will focus on expanding Hunt Mortgage Group's capital markets activities and its overall commercial lending business. At Barclays, Trauben held various positions, including head of large loan origination and head of subordinate debt origination and distribution.
In addition, while at the bank he was a senior member of the real estate finance group and was a participant in all major business decisions including hiring, business management, strategic growth and capital allocations.
“Jon is a seasoned real estate finance executive that brings more than 20 years of solid industry and management experience to his new role at Hunt Mortgage Group,” notes Chris Hunt, president of the firm. “His track record of success is impressive. We look forward to tapping his expertise and leadership in growing our business nationwide.”
Prior to Barclays, Trauben was with Cantor Fitzgerald & Co.'s real estate finance business CCRE where he was a managing director and head of capital markets and high yield real estate and loan syndications. In this role he was a member of the senior management team that established all aspects of a newly launched CMBS lending business.
Before Cantor he was with Credit Suisse Group AG where he was a managing director and head of high yield real estate and loan syndications for the Americas. Earlier in his career he was VP at APC Realty Advisors and a manager at Ernst & Young.
