CHARLOTTE, NC—Red Ventures, a technology-driven sales and marketing company, has signed a new lease for 97,599 square feet at the Cambridge Corporate Center within the University Research Park submarket in Charlotte.

Cambridge Corporate Center was acquired less than one year ago by a partnership that included Chicago-based Origin Capital Partners, Stream Realty Partners' Charlotte office and New York and Palm Beach-based Atlantic Creek Real Estate Partners.

Daniel Farrar of Stream Realty represented the ownership group. Chris Schaaf, national director at JLL who serves as EVP of the Tenant Representation Group in the Carolinas, represented Red Ventures in this lease transaction.

Founded in 2000, Red Ventures is growing 30% per year due to increased business across multiple industries including Home Services, Energy, Financial Services, Insurance and Software.

“Cambridge Corporate Center is a world-class facility and the best possible location for expanding our North Charlotte presence,” said Mark Brodsky, CFO, Red Ventures. “We intend to give our new space a distinctly Red Ventures look and feel, creating an environment that mirrors our Indian Land, SC campus, including an open, collaborative work environment and amenities like an on-site café and fitness center.”

“Red Ventures sophisticated, technology and analytics-driven approach to marketing has created an incredible success story,” said Marc Turner, director of asset management at Origin Capital. “We are thrilled to welcome them to Cambridge Corporate Center and look forward to supporting their continued growth.”

The lease to Red Ventures follows the strategic plan Origin and its partners envisioned when the property was acquired a year ago.

Origin Capital and its partners believe that over time there will be considerable opportunity to either re-tenant certain spaces and/or renew the leases of numerous tenants. Turner said that the Red Ventures lease begins the process of fulfilling the strategic acquisition and management plan.

Originally developed in 1990, Cambridge Corporate Center is a 339,544-square-foot, three-wing office building that helps define the University Research Park submarket. Designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, the class A asset features mission critical infrastructure, triple redundant power supply, 24-hour onsite personnel, customizable security and expansive atriums within each of the wings that provide for abundant natural light.

University Research Park, one of the nation's largest R&D parks, is 10 miles northeast of Charlotte City Center and the second largest employment center within the region. Major tenants of the research park include IBM, Wells Fargo, Hewitt Associates, TIAA-CREF, and now, Red Ventures.

Origin Capital is a Chicago-based investment manager, with regional offices in Atlanta, Charlotte and Dallas, that acquires commercial real estate in select US markets on behalf of its principals and investment partners. Stream Realty is one of the fastest growing leasing and management companies in the nation, with over 111 million square feet of office, industrial, multifamily, and retail assignments, resulting in over $1.6 billion in real estate transactions annually. Atlantic Creek Real Estate Partners, LLC and its affiliates is a private investment firm with offices in New York, Palm Beach, FL, and Los Angeles that acquires direct interests in commercial real estate in addition to providing joint venture equity to commercial real estate owners and developers.
