NEW YORK CITY—Colliers International has brought on 15-year industry veteran John Pavone as a director of brokerage services, GlobeSt.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY. He comes to the firm from DTZ, where as a VP of brokerage services he advised corporate tenants and developed strategies to grow DTZ's presence in New York City. Prior to DTZ, he served as a VP of brokerage services at CB Richard Ellis.

Pavone, who has completed more than eight million square feet of sales and lease transactions over the course of his career, will focus on tenant and landlord representation primarily in Midtown Manhattan. He will immediately support the brokerage team led by Andrew Roos, vice chairman, and Michael Cohen, president of the tri-state region. Among their assignments, the team is marketing 655 Madison Ave.––a boutique 25-story, 225,000-square-foot office tower in the Plaza District––as the exclusive leasing agent for the property.

Among his notable career transactions, Pavone arranged Baker & Hostetler's 83,000-square-foot relocation to 45 Rockefeller Plaza; Andersen Tax's 40,000-square-foot new lease for their headquarters at 1177 Ave. of the Americas; inVentive Health's 23,000-square-foot first lease in New York at 1180 Ave. of the Americas; the International Language Schools of Canada's 15,000-square-foot lease for its first New York City operation at 111 Nassau St.; Magnolia Pictures' 10,000-square-foot headquarters renewal at 49 W. 27th St.; and Constantin Associates' 8,000-square-foot renewal at 575 Madison Ave.

Additionally, Pavone has completed landlord agency assignments for CalStrs, including leasing for 551 Madison Ave.

“John is a dynamic professional with a strong track record of success servicing both landlords and tenants in New York City,” says Kim Brennan, COO of Colliers International's tri-state region. “His expansive market knowledge and experience will be excellent assets to our growing brokerage division.”
