CHICAGO—Kennedy Wilson has just hired Daniel Schmidt as a Chicago-based senior managing director of property services. The 30-year industry veteran will manage the expansion of the firm's property management and leasing services in the Midwest, East and Southeast regions. The Beverly Hills, CA-based company already has a foothold in these markets with 39 assets, mostly office, multifamily and retail properties.

“Like the rest of the country, the Central and Eastern regions are continuing to gain momentum driven by pent-up demand for all asset types,” says Jim Rosten, president of property services at Kennedy Wilson. “Dan's experience—with more than 30 years of hands-on, client-focused experience in the portfolio management industry covering all property types—gives us a strategic advantage as the market expansion continues nationally.”

Schmidt has an extensive background as an executive within commercial real estate pension fund advisory organizations on a national basis. Prior to joining Kennedy Wilson, he served as executive vice president with Lillibridge Healthcare Real Estate Trust, where he managed the REIT's in-house management and leasing operations for an 8 million square foot portfolio. He was also vice president at RREEF, regional vice president for MONY Real Estate Investment Management and vice president for Prudential Realty Group.
