SACRAMENTO, CA—Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors, is expanding throughout the west with focus on California, and has hired Industry veteran Robert Cord as president of the Asset Services Division. Cord, coming from Voit Real Estate Services, is among several other hires throughout the state, the firm says, including some who have worked on teams with Cord.
“We are thrilled to welcome commercial real estate veteran Rob Cord as President of Asset Services for CBC Advisors,” said Brandon Fugal, chairman of CBC Advisors. “His unmatched expertise and leadership will set a new standard as we expand our Asset Services Division, managing a growing portfolio of commercial properties throughout the Western United States.”
“Maintaining the premiere Asset Services offering is of an utmost priority as CBC Advisors expands throughout the west,” said Kevin Long, COO of CBC Advisors. “CBC Advisors fully commits every available resource needed to exceed client demands.”
Rob will be managing all asset services and assisting in the company expansion throughout the west. He joins CBC Advisors from Voit Real Estate Services where he oversaw an expanding portfolio of properties in the real estate services platform, including property management, asset management and project management. In more than 26 years of diversified management experience, he led a team that managed the 12-million-square-foot portfolio with Voit Real Estate, 19-million-square-foot portfolio in Northern California for Cassidy Turley and a 14-million-square-foot portfolio for Kennedy Wilson. Prior to this, he was managing director at CB Richard Ellis Real Estate Services and earlier held management positions at both TRI Commercial Real Estate Services and Grubb & Ellis Co.
Professional affiliations include Building Owners and Management Association (BOMA) California Chairperson and NAIOP Board President San Francisco. He is a graduate of the University of California-Davis.
“CBC Advisors has been the largest Coldwell Banker Commercial affiliate in the world for more than a decade,” said Cord. “As such, we have the opportunity to provide superior technology, tenant services and financial reporting for our clients as a strong, trusted advisor. Our culture here at CBC places a premium on our personnel – managers, administrative staff and brokers – that is reflected externally, while we are well capitalized with no shareholder restraints. We are excited to deepen this challenger brand as we have the flexibility to do more than the next firm.”
Joining the CBC Advisors team in California are Heidi Becker as director of the Southwest based in San Diego, Ivette Barnet, director of the Greater Los Angeles Area working from the Inland Empire and Ross Tolbert as director of operations working from the Sacramento office. All join having most recently worked together at Voit.
At Voit, Becker was senior Real Estate Manager. In her more than 23 years of commercial real estate management, she oversaw a portfolio of properties throughout San Diego, Las Vegas and Phoenix. Prior to this she managed Davis Properties LLC's San Diego portfolio consisting of class A office buildings, distribution centers and multi-tenant industrial parks. She also held earlier management positions with the Abbey Company, Fujita Property Management and Lincoln Property Company. Heidi is a graduate of San Diego State University and has an MBA from the University of La Verne. She is a member of BOMA, the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW).
Tolbert provided management and asset management for industrial, office, retail and apartment properties in Voit's Western US region for five years and enjoys more than 18 years in the industry. Clients have included banks, REITs, local and national investors, receivers and trustees in several multistate portfolios. Prior to Voit, Ross managed 95 assets at Kobra Properties and a total portfolio that included 650,000 square feet in Indianapolis, and 1.1 million square feet in Northern California.
