For those of you who chronically wait to read the current edition of the Executive Watch, you may have an issue with effective time management, or so the Wall Street Journal reported in today's edition. In other words, why do today what you can put off until tomorrow.

Procrastination is actually a serious issue in terms of productivity and it can also impact one's health. According to the science of this issue, studies show that chronic procrastination is linked to impulsiveness, which is a tendency to act immediately on urges like reading the sports pages instead of focusing on the Executive Watch.

All kidding aside, the article highlighted that procrastination is more pervasive than you may think, and even in mild cases the impact on productivity can be immense. Alas, time management tips will go only so far, so it's worth reading the article for some helpful tips on how to combat chronic dawdling. Here is a link to the Journal article, and don't put off reading it until tomorrow.

In the meantime, enjoy the upcoming Labor Day weekend, and look out for next week's Executive Watch that will feature the kickoff of the new business year.
