CHICAGO—Wirtz Realty Corp. already has a long history of investment in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, and has finalized its plans to build an upscale residential high rise at 2950 N. Sheridan Rd. The 19-story development will be the ninth Lakeview property in its portfolio.

“While the process is similar to developing downtown, we are developing in a well-established residential neighborhood, and we have taken steps to minimize the impact of our construction on the community,” Donald Vitek, senior vice president of Wirtz Realty Corp., tells GlobeSt.com. “This includes staging in such a manner as to avoid closing traffic lanes on Sheridan Rd., and to minimize the traffic impact of construction traffic on the neighborhood.”

"We have been a proud partner in Lakeview for decades and look forward to working with our neighbors on this exciting new construction project," he adds. "With Wirtz Realty holding roles as both neighbor and developer, we are mindful of the impact of this project on our neighbors. Lakeview is one of the most desirable, celebrated neighborhoods in the city and we have designed a project that embraces the aesthetic and significance of this community.”
