SALT LAKE CITY, UT—The Salt Lake office of CBRE says that 222 South Main is now 100% occupied. Since purchasing the building in February of 2014, the building's owner, KBS, has leased a total of 74,114 rentable square feet, bringing the building to full occupancy. Scott Wilmarth and Nadia Letey of CBRE are the building's exclusive listing agents.
222 South Main is a 426,657-square-foot, class A office building located in the heart of the Central Business District. Constructed in 2009, it was Utah's first LEED Gold certified high-rise. The building is home to two restaurants and offers its tenants other amenities such as dry cleaning, showers, lockers and secured bike cages.
“222 is one of the most recognized high rises in downtown Salt Lake,” stated Tim Helgeson, senior vice president with KBS. “Upon purchasing the building it was our goal to ensure that 222 continued to meet the needs of its tenants. Building on the foundation of the strong economy and momentum of Salt Lake City, it appears that this goal has helped us bring the building to full occupancy. Now our focus must be continuing to provide the best service to the building's users.”
KBS' portfolio includes four Salt-Lake-based buildlings: 222 South Main Street; Parkside, located at 215 South State Street; the Salt Lake Hardware Building, located at 155 North 400 West; and Millrock Park, a class A office park consisting of four buildings in Holladay.
KBS Real Estate Investment Trust III is operated by KBS Capital Advisors. Based in Newport Beach, CA, both are affiliates of KBS Realty Advisors, one of the nation's most active buyers of commercial real estate.
