LOS ALTOS, CA—Old Port Lobster Shack will occupy one of the ground floor retail spaces in the new multi-family community, Colonnade, according to Sares Regis Group of Northern California (SGNRC). The authentic New England-style seafood restaurant leased approximately 2,800 square feet of corner space and will open in sometime in early 2016. Old Port Lobster Shack joins Barre3 and The Vitamin Shoppe in the new community, with a 71% retail lease volume. Randol Mackley and Steve Gazzera of SRS Real Estate Partners represented both parties in the transaction.

Jeff Smith, senior vice president at SRGNC, tells Globest.com: "Old Port Lobster Shack is a wonderful addition to Colonnade. Its lobster rolls are already a hit in locations throughout the Bay Area, and with the addition of a bar and outdoor seating, we feel the restaurant will become a mainstay of the community.”

Developed by SRGNC and Pritzker Realty Group, Colonnade is a 167-unit luxury apartment community located at 4750 El Camino Real near the intersection of San Antonio Road and El Camino Real in Los Altos, CA. The community is conveniently located near Stanford University, retail conveniences at San Antonio Center, Rengstorff Park, Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts and local restaurants. Mass transit is in close proximity via the Mountain View VTA light rail, San Antonio Caltrain station and the Stanford Marguerite shuttle.

The one- and two-bedroom residences feature stainless steel appliances, solid surface stone countertops, European cabinetry, hardwood style flooring and in-home laundry. The common areas include a roof-top lounge with outdoor fireplace, club room with catering kitchen, Wi-Fi café, state-of the art fitness, whirlpool spa and courtyards for outdoor enjoyment.

“SRGNC and Pritzker Realty Group are very excited to welcome Lobster Shack to Colonnade,” said Smith. “Their presence will activate this corner space and bring a great new amenity to our residents, the community and local area.”

As previously reported, Silicon Valley multifamily is receiving a great deal of funding and development attention.
