DALLAS—Veteran business development executive Bonnie Shekarabi has joined Megatel Capital Investment as executive vice president, national accounts, GlobeSt.com has exclusively learned.

Shekarabi, who has worked in the financial services industry for 28 years, previously led the business development efforts for Ascendant Capital, Preferred Apartment Communities and Walton International Group, where she increased the number of selling agreements and successfully grew distribution. She started her career in the independent broker-dealer channel with Wells Real Estate Funds, where she helped grow the company from 38 employees to more than 700 and increased assets under management from $240 million to more than $5 billion in five years.
