CHICAGO—Market demographics have changed since before the recession. Michael Brennan of Brennan Investment Group says that markets he's in today he would never have considered a decade ago. In an exclusive video interview during the SIOR Fall World Conference here, he explained how he chooses those markets and details the state-by-state spread of his six-year old enterprise.

In the course of our conversation, Brennan touched on:

  • The new foreign capital affinity for industrial and non-gateway markets;
  • How the current rate of volume is still due in large part to pent-up supply created during the downturn;
  • What markets are appealing to the firm and how they are different than target metros of a decade ago.
