NEW YORK CITY—The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corp. has nabbed Sukanya Paciorekas from Vornado Realty Trust and named her EVP, head of asset management.
At Vornado, Paciorek served as SVP of corporate sustainability for Vornado Realty Trust. In this role, she developed and led Vornado's corporate sustainability strategy, energy management and efficiency efforts, including the vetting and implementation of large scale new technologies.
While at Vornado, Paciorek also executed operations and managed the utilities group for the company's New York division, including energy procurement and accounting, with an annual expense of over $100 million. She was named the REIT's Employee of the Year in 2010.
Prior to Vornado, Paciorek worked in the energy industry as an advisor at Poten & Partners, where she provided commercial brokerage, consulting and advisory services. She previously also worked as a political advisor at the US Mission to the United Nations.
In the role of EVP, Paciorek will be charged with managing the Yard's assets including nearly 4 million square feet of leasing space and overseeing all facilities management for the Yard's 40 plus buildings.
