NEW YORK CITY—Eli Lilly has expanded its space at the Alexandria Center for Life Science once again.

The pharmaceutical giant has signed a 30,408-square-foot office and lab lease expansion at the property's West Tower, boosting its total presence at the facility to 120,000 square feet. Lilly has been at the Alexandria Center—located at 430 E. 29th St.—since 2010.

CBRE Group EVP John Isaacs represented the Eli Lilly in the latest deal, which provides the company with the entire 12th floor for 10 years. Cushman & Wakefield's Bill Hartman and ARE's John Cunningham represented the landlord in the transaction.

“Alexandria Center for Life Sciences has been an enormously successful location for Eli Lilly,” he says. “The current expansion enables Lilly to further grow their oncology research, adding 50 new jobs in core therapeutic areas, while continuing to promote the essential, broader collaboration with leading local academic scientists.”
