SCOTTSDALE, AZ—Three new headquarters leases have been inked at Riverwalk Arizona, a 187-acre mixed-use business park, according to Michael J. Alter, president of The Alter Group. Progress Residential will lease 34,558 square feet of space, IDT911 signed for 18,763 square feet and Payroll Experts will occupy 7,824 square feet.
One of the country's largest developments on Native American land to date, Riverwalk Arizona will yield an estimated 1,500,000 square feet of corporate office and retail space, and create up to 15,000 new jobs. Riverwalk Arizona is set on prime land owned by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Community, home to the Pima and Maricopa Indians, descendants of the ancient Hohokam Indians.
Kurt W. Rosene, principal, Novo Development, represented The Alter Group in all of the transactions. He tells GlobeSt.com: "Riverwalk has historically attracted strong tenants who seek a corporate campus environment. Our activity level at Riverwalk is stronger than it has ever been since we developed the property. The new tenant activity and the expansion of existing businesses in the park are indicative of economic recovery and growth."
Matthew Coxhead, managing director, Savills Studley, represented Progress Residential. Progress Residential is a provider of single-family rental homes in the country's fastest-growing markets. Outside of Scottsdale, it has regional offices in Tampa, FL, Las Vegas, Dallas, Houston and Atlanta.
Mark Seale, senior director with Cushman & Wakefield, represented IDT911 in the lease negotiations. IDT911 signed a long-time lease extension and is expanding its operations at 7580 N. Dobson Rd. The company is a provider of services that help businesses defend against data breaches and identity theft. IDT911 offers support for more than 660 client partners and 17.5 million households.
Tom Nicholas, senior vice president, Colliers International, represented Payroll Experts. It provides outsourced payroll solutions and cloud-based human resource management solutions, including applicant tracking, paperless employee on-boarding, benefit administration, performance review management, time and attendance, 401(k), employee benefits and human resource consulting, serving businesses with up to 5,000 employees nationwide.
