NEW YORK CITY—Avison Young hashired two senior directors for the tenant representation team here, GlobeSt.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY. Industry veterans Susan Kahaner and Jennifer Ogden have joined the firm from Cushman & Wakefield.

Also having toiled at CBRE, Kahaner is 25-year veteran of the industry. She primarily has represented non-profits and art-related institutions, including Steinway Pianos, the Fashion Institute of Technology, Philanthropy New York, Sotheby's Institute of Fine Arts and the Better Business Bureau. Kahaner also served as a staff writer for CBS Evening News anchor Walter Cronkite.

“Though relatively new to the New York City market, Avison Young has quickly become one of the region's most active full-service real estate services firms,” notes Kahaner. “It is extremely exciting to join a firm in growth mode, and I am eager to begin working with my colleagues, expanding the firm's tenant representation practice.”

A seasoned industry veteran, Ogden worked at the same real estate services firms as Kahaner, representing a wide range of clients, with a focus on TAMI firms and financial organizations. Her notable clients have included Interlude, Cinedigm, the Fashion Institute of Technology, Boxed, Steinway Pianos, New York Foundling, Philanthropy New York and Bombfell.

Prior to working in commercial real estate, Ogden spent 10 years in the financial industry. “Avison Young is recognized for the collaborative approach of its industry-leading workforce,” she says. “I value the opportunity to provide value to our clients while learning from and working alongside some of the industry's leading players.”

Adds A. Mitti Liebersohn, president and managing director of Avison Young, “Susan and Jennifer have earned industry-wide accolades for the decades of valuable advisory services they've provided to dozens of leading corporations and non-profits. The service-driven approach and extensive relationships they bring to the table are invaluable.”
