FRANKFURT, Germany—Goodwin Procter has opened a new office in Frankfurt.

The new German office, Goodwin's second European office following the opening of its London division in 2011, will focus primarily on real estate capital markets in order to fill a heightened demand for legal services in the rapidly expanding space. The opening enhances the ongoing deepening and broadening of Goodwin's London real estate capital markets and private equity practices, and reflects demand from its European clients in all aspects of raising and deploying capital within this diverse sector. While the German office will focus primarily on real estate capital markets initially, Boston-based Goodwin is not ruling out future expansion through the addition of other high growth practices as the firm sees fit.

Stephan Kock, Peter Junghänel, Marc Bohne and Lars Jessen will constitute the lead partners of the office upon the completion of their notice periods.
