NEW YORK CITY—Aetna Life Insurance Co. has expanded at 100 Park Ave. by leasing 10,889 square feet on the entire 12th floor. The firm's total commitment at the building covers 51,028 square feet for over 10 years. William Korchak of JLL represented Aetna in the transaction while Tara Stacom, Barry Zeller, Justin Royce and Matthias Li of Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of building owner SL Green Realty Corp.
ABS Partners Real Estate has secured an 11-year, 12,790-square-foot lease for Ethan Allen at 915 Broadway, in the Flatiron District. The new retail store is expected to open by summer 2016. John Brod, Mark Tergesen, Robert Kempner and Alex Kaskel of ABS Partners represented the landlord, 915 Broadway Associates LLC, in the transaction. It was unclear at press time who represented the tenant. Asking rent was approximately $200 per square foot.
Handler Real Estate Organization has inked a 3,944-square-foot, long-term lease with Philippine National Bank at 561 7th Ave. Relocating from Lower Manhattan, PNB is scheduled to occupy its new corporate offices in spring of 2016. Handler principal and CEO Scott Galin, represented ownership in the transaction, along with Richard Farley and Darell Handler. The tenant was represented by Gary Ceder of Cushman & Wakefield and Nick Bates of CBRE.
Eastern Consolidated's retail leasing division has arranged a five-year, 1,080-square-foot lease at 21 Thompson St. in SoHo for WundaBar, a pilates studio. James Famularo, senior director of Eastern's retail group, represented both the landlord and WundaBar in the transaction. The studio will be directly across from the new boutique condo at 30 Thompson St. and one block from a new condo development at 10 Sullivan St. and near high-end hotels, boutiques and restaurants.
