Aetna Expands in Midtown East

NEW YORK CITY—The insurance giant has boosted its space commitment at 100 Park Ave., spotlighting this wrap up of recent deals.

NEW YORK CITY—Aetna Life Insurance Co. has expanded at 100 Park Ave. by leasing 10,889 square feet on the entire 12th floor. The firm’s total commitment at the building covers 51,028 square feet for over 10 years. William Korchak of JLL represented Aetna in the transaction while Tara Stacom, Barry Zeller, Justin Royce and Matthias Li of Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of building owner SL Green Realty Corp.

ABS Partners Real Estate has secured an 11-year, 12,790-square-foot lease for Ethan Allen at 915 Broadway, in the Flatiron District. The new retail store is expected to open by summer 2016. John Brod, Mark Tergesen, Robert Kempner and Alex Kaskel of ABS Partners represented the landlord, 915 Broadway Associates LLC, in the transaction. It was unclear at press time who represented the tenant. Asking rent was approximately $200 per square foot.
