HOWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ—Industry veteran Peter Blass is joining Eastern Union Funding as a Senior Broker.

"Peter is now harnessing all his energy on mortgage deals, and we're lucky to have him on board," says Avrom Forman, Eastern Funding CEO. "He will be working from the Manhattan office and is currently assembling a team there."

Blass has 25 years of industry experience, most recently as managing director, capital markets, for Colony Hills Capital, and his previous experience includes positions with lenders Arbor, Greystone, and Centerline Capital Group.

Blass has directed debt and equity capital sourcing in support of nationwide residential properties acquisitions in the multifamily, student housing, healthcare, office, hotel, retail and manufactured housing space.

Transactions include multifamily portfolios in excess of $200 million, and extensive experience in small loan transactions under $5 million. He has successfully structured many financings including bridge, permanent and equity transactions. He is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and is well known and regarded throughout the commercial finance sector.

Blass holds a bachelor's degree from Franklin & Marshall College and a master of science in Real Estate from New York University.

He has been a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of New York since 1990.
