SECAUCUS, NJ—Richard Vanderbeck has joined Hartz Mountain's Leasing Department as vice president of leasing and sales. Vanderbeck, a 30-year industry veteran, joins Ernie Christoph and Charlie Reese in the marketing and leasing of Hartz's 25 million square-foot warehouse and industrial portfolio.

"Rick has a thorough understanding of the industrial market and is well represented within the commercial real estate community," says Gus Milano, president and COO of Hartz Mountain Industries. "We are excited to have him joining our leasing team."

Before joining Hartz, Rick was president of Shax Commercial Real Estate Solutions. He has been involved in portfolio management, acquisitions, dispositions, development and leasing throughout his career. He was appointed to the New Jersey Real Estate Advisory Committee in 2013.

Rick holds a Master's Degree in real estate development and finance from New York University, where he was an adjunct professor in the graduate real estate program. His undergraduate degree is from William Paterson University.
