PARSIPPANY, NJ—Colliers International has named two Cushman & Wakefield veterans with more than 35 years of combined experience as managing directors in its New Jersey operations. Sam Horowitz and Chris Hovanec will join Colliers' tenant representation services division.

"We are extremely pleased to have these two professionals join our team. Sam and Chris are known for their success in providing clients with excellent real estate solutions across their portfolios," says David A. Simon, SIOR, executive managing director and head of Colliers International's New Jersey operations. "Their talent, drive and experience –– on both a regional and national level –– aligns with our firm's objectives and we are confident that they will enjoy our culture and expand their business within our platform."

Horowitz has more than 17 years of experience working with multi-national corporations and local firms on real estate strategies and transactions throughout the Tri-State region and across North America. Among his accomplishments, Horowitz has arranged multiple leases on behalf of Roche/Genentech, Mistras Group, and Agfa Corporation, as well as transactions for Grant Thornton, Unipart Logistics, Pitney Bowes, and Raymond James & Associates.

Previously, Horowitz was a vice president at Cushman & Wakefield. Before that, Horowitz helped establish the New Jersey office for DTZ. As previously reported by GlobeSt.com, earlier this year, DTZ acquired Cushman & Wakefield and took the Cushman name for the combined firm.

Horowitz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government, Politics and Economics from the University of Maryland. He is a LEED accredited professional specializing in interior design and construction.

Hovanec has more than 10 years of experience specializing in real estate strategy and portfolio management for companies in New Jersey and across the country. His clients have included corporate tenants such as Alcatel-Lucent, NetApp, Catalent, and Toshiba, among others.

Before joining Colliers, Hovanec also was a vice president at Cushman & Wakefield. Before that, he worked at DTZ. Hovanec holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado.
