PHOENIX —Bob Hubbard, vice president of LBA Realty, has been named NAIOP Arizona chairman for 2016. Chapter officers with NAIOP Arizona serve a one-year term while new board members serve a three-year term.

The commercial real estate industry group also named its new officers, five new board members and re-nominated an existing board member. Hubbard will be joined by officers Larry Pobuda, vice chairman, with The Opus Group; Matt Mooney, programs chair, with Parkway Properties; Tammy Carr, treasurer, with Mortenson Construction; and Andrew Cheney, secretary, with Lee & Associates.

Tim Lawless, president of the chapter, tells GlobeSt.com: "Bob Hubbard has a passion for improving our educational offerings to our members that will be nominal in charge such as creating informal brown bag lunch meetings where CRE vets can provide their wisdom on practical matters geared for individuals to succeed such as our new 'lunch and learn' series and increasing our panel discussions to every other month rather than quarterly on topical issues of interest through our 'Market Leaders' series. Our new board members are all long-time members to our trade association who are leaders in their firms that are presently very active in the market."

New board members are Bryon Carney of Cushman & Wakefield, Keith Earnest of VanTrust Real Estate, Tom Jarvis of Willmeng Construction, Danny Swancey of ViaWest Group and Jim Wentworth Jr. of Wentworth Property Company. Chuck Vogel of VEREIT Inc. was re-nominated to the board. Tom Johnston of Savills Studley served as the 2015 chairman and will remain on the executive committee.

"We are optimistic about another great year of NAIOP events and advocacy in the Arizona market," Hubbard said. "We also look forward to working with local professionals and Arizona State University's MRED program to expand educational offerings for our members."

NAIOP is a trade organization for developers, owners and related professionals in the office and industrial real estate sectors.
