NAPA, CA—Earlier this year, Madison Marquette and The Carlin Company completed a successful recapitalization of the Oxbow Public Market in order to expand the property's upscale shopping and dining experience. The artisanal marketplace was developed by Oxbow Management and Steve Carlin, known for his work on the Ferry Building Marketplace.

Now, thousands of potential investors looking to be part of Napa's vibrant food and wine scene will have a chance to invest in the Oxbow Public Market, with Oxbow becoming Napa Valley's newest crowdfunded real estate investment opportunity on the RealCrowd platform. Madison Marquette posted the offering on RealCrowd to accredited US investors with a minimum investment of $50,000, opening up approximately $6 million of investment potential.

"Many Napa visitors dream of investing in wine country, but they either don't know what's available or may not have the capital to go it alone," said Adam Hooper, RealCrowd CEO. "RealCrowd is all about leveraging technology to open up high-value commercial real estate investment opportunities to the broadest community possible, and we are excited to team up with Madison Marquette to offer this crowdfunded opportunity."

Known as "Napa's public square," Oxbow Public Market is a 40,000-square-foot multi-vendor marketplace that specializes in locally sourced, artisanal products. Oxbow opened in 2008 and houses many of the same tenants as the Ferry Building, including Hog Island Oyster Co. and Gott's Roadside.

Hooper tells Globest.com: "This is an opportunity for people who love food and wine, and the artisanal, locally sourced culinary scene to actually invest in and enjoy the benefits of owning a slice of the best that Napa and wine country has to offer. Our goal with the Oxbow opportunity is to open up this rare investment to the broadest array of investors possible, so that people who truly enjoy food and wine can also enjoy the benefits of ownership in this amazing public market and gathering space."

The Oxbow market is located at 610 and 644 First Street with an outdoor deck offering seating along the Napa River, adjacent to the Oxbow Preserve and Oxbow Commons. The concept of the property is not only support of sustainable and organic farming, but improving the food culture through education, community outreach and support of local farms/businesses.

"The Oxbow Public Market represents the best of Napa Valley artisanal food and wine culture, and we are thrilled to open this investment through the RealCrowd platform," said Eric Hohmann, president of Madison Marquette.

As previously reported, Madison Marquette is part of a development partnership for a multi-family project in Mill Valley, CA.
