VINELAND, NJ—Dick's Sporting Goods will fill a 50,000 square-foot space at PREIT's Cumberland Mall in Vineland, NJ previously occupied by JCPenney.
PREIT CEO Joseph F. Coradino says the transaction demonstrates PREIT'scontinued success in replacing anchors with in-demand retailers. As previously reported by GlobeSt.com, PREIT said the JCPenney store closing would give the real estate investment trust a "significant opportunity to add value" at the regional mall.
"The addition of Dick's Sporting Goods will improve the merchandise mix and solidify the tenant roster at Cumberland Mall," Coradino says. "This transaction cements Cumberland Mall's position as a dominant retail hub in the area and adds to its appeal catering to a wide variety of consumers."
