HOUSTON--Steel City Pops, an Alabama-based gourmet popsicle shop with stores in Dallas and Fort Worth, is expanding to Houston.
The company has leased 3,710 square feet of retail space in The 420, the Radom Capital-developed specialty retail center located at 420 East 20th Street. The project is a redevelopment of a historic retail property that is home to several Texas-based concepts, including Austin-based Bird's Barbershop.
Kyle Knight with the Houston office of The Weitzman Group handled negotiations as tenant representative for Steel City Pops. Knight notes that expansion throughout Houston for the brand is in the offing.
"We are currently seeking additional satellite locations within the Houston market that will follow this high-profile first site for Steel City Pops," Knight told GlobeSt.com.
Steel City Pops, founded in 2012 and dedicated to making popsicles with all-natural and local ingredients, now operates several locations in Alabama, in addition to those in Dallas and Fort Worth.
