MCKINNEY, TX--MYCON General Contractors has been recognized by Texas A&M University as a member of the 2015 Aggie 100, which honors the fastest-growing companies in the world, owned or operated by Texas A&M University alumni.

MYCON was ranked 69th with a compound annual growth rate of 39.62 percent from 2012 through 2014. The Aggie 100, a program created by the Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship in Texas A&M University's Mays Business School, honors graduates from across disciplines for their entrepreneurial endeavors and success as business leaders.

MYCON's CEO, founder and owner Charles Myers graduated from Texas A&M University in 1985 with a bachelor's degree in building construction and founded MYCON two years later. Over the years, MYCON has steadily grown into a commercial contractor that integrates general contracting and construction management services, including design/build services, LEED/sustainable construction and professional project management.

"Being recognized by my alma mater is truly an honor," says Myers. "In establishing MYCON, we created a culture of success that was influenced by the great education I received at Texas A&M. The Aggie Code of Honor is at the heart of everything we do."

The 100 Aggie-owned or Aggie-led businesses with the highest annual revenue growth were recognized at a formal luncheon in the Zone Club at Texas A&M University's football stadium, Kyle Field. More than 700 honorees, families, employees, faculty, administrators and current student entrepreneurs were in attendance to celebrate their success.
