MIAMI—With growing operations in across the Sunshine State, Skanska USA has hired Ronald J. Murtha, Jr. as a project executive. Murtha will work in the South Florida operations of one of the state's largest construction and development firms.

"As a 30-year veteran in the construction industry, Ron has the experience to help Skanska carry out its current projects and help further grow its footprint in Florida," says Fred Hames, general manager and executive vice president of Skanska USA Building. "With the state's major international airports investing in expansions and upgrades, Ron's unique expertise in aviation will add value to both Skanska's teams and clients."

Murtha will take a leadership role on specific projects determining staff responsibilities, overseeing client relations, cost and scheduling, as well as supporting Skanska's business development efforts in South Florida. He is a registered Professional Engineer, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Pittsburgh.
