FORT WORTH--A trio is set to open three new venues in the city's West 7th District.

Varsity Tavern boasts 8,000 square feet on two stories on the corner of Norwood and Morton streets, and will host a soft opening tonight. The building, formerly an auto body shop, sat vacant for approximately five years before partners Josh Reagan, James Hoffman and Micah McDonald began construction in April.

"We want to elevate the bar scene here in Fort Worth," Reagan told GlobeSt.com. "There are so many young people moving to and thriving in this city-- for the jobs and the creative culture, and we want the nightlife scene to match. Each of our concepts is unique, not only to Fort Worth, but to D/FW as a whole. There is no reason why West 7th shouldn't be a destination for locals and Dallasites alike
