HOUSTON—Surge Homes, a real estate developer and builder with eight residential projects inside Loop 610 and one in nearby Spring Branch, has announced the commencement of a series of new home developments on three sites.

Upper Richton in Upper Kirby, Museum Blvd. in the Museum District, and Parc at Midtown in Midtown are currently undergoing site development work. The activity includes the demolition of old structures; site cleanup; and the construction of underground utilities for water, sewer, conduits for electricity, and paving.

"Insurers specializing in new home construction have told us that there is a lot of misunderstanding of coverage from builders, especially when it comes to townhomes and mid-rise buildings…This lack of understanding creates potential risks for the builder and the homebuyer," Louis Conrad, partner at Surge Homes, told GlobeSt.com.
