KENDALL, FL—Downtown Dadeland, Kendall's urban town center, has recently welcomed the addition of Orangetheory Fitness to its catalog of retailers.

The fast-growing fitness center, which opened its 300th location on Oct. 30, is expected to open doors at Downtown Dadeland in May 2016.

"We are very excited to reach out to the business community," said Mike Singer, owner of Orangetheory Fitness Pinecrest, Coral Gables and South Miami locations. "My wife and I already own a couple of locations throughout South Florida, and we are looking forward to seeing what the Downtown Dadeland location has to offer."

Since its foundation in 2010, Orangetheory Fitness has expanded throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and South America.

The fitness center is known for its 60-minute, five zone heart-rate monitored interval training concept that has helped tens of thousands of members lose weight, get toned and meet their overall fitness goals in a short amount of time.

"In only five years, Orangetheory Fitness has managed to make a name for itself around the world," said Shane Hillsley, managing director of Duncan Hillsley Capital. "That kind of presence coupled with the gym's modern approach to fitness is exactly what we want to bring to Downtown Dadeland."

The launch of Orangetheory Fitness at Downtown Dadeland comes as a part of a continued revitalization plan that was initiated by DHPI, the joint venture between Pebb Capital and Duncan Hillsley Capital.

Rafael Romero, CCIM and Steven Henenfeld of Continental Real Estate Companies (CREC) represented the landlord in the transaction for the gym.

CREC, one of the region's largest commercial real estate firms, serves as Downtown Dadeland's real estate agency of record securing all deals between the lifestyle center and potential tenants.

"Adding Orangetheory Fitness to Downtown Dadeland is the next step in bringing the vision of a vibrant lifestyle center close to home," said Steven Henenfeld senior vice president of CREC. "The gym gives the community all the more reason to visit Downtown Dadeland on a daily basis, along with the variety of shopping and dining options currently in place and on the way."

Downtown Dadeland is in the process of adding a number of new retailers to its 127,635 square feet of retail space, creating a lifestyle destination for Kendall, Pinecrest, Coral Gables and South Miami.
