GE Reportedly Moving HQ to Boston

BOSTON—The company's CEO Jeffrey Immelt has been shopping for new digs since a hefty tax increase in its current state, Connecticut, was passed last year.

BOSTON—General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt has apparently followed through on his threat to relocate the firm’s global headquarters from Fairfield, CT to Boston.

Immelt launched a multi-state headquarters search in June of last year after bristling over well in excess of $1 billion in tax increases proposed by Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy and passed by the State Legislature to fill a funding gap.
