DALLAS--McCarthy Building Cos. Inc. has a new Texas region leader.

Prior to assuming his current position, Sedey served as executive vice president, overseeing company operations in Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado. During his tenure, the firm was repeatedly named a top Las Vegas "Best Place to Work."

"With nearly 40 years in the Texas market, McCarthy has a long history and proven track record in the region, and I am excited to be a part of the Texas team," Sedey told GlobeSt.com "Under Mike McWay's leadership McCarthy has risen to the top of the market because the company tackles the most challenging projects. I am confident we will continue to build upon this legacy while improving the company's current reputation as a premier contractor in Texas with one of the most diverse work programs in the state."

In addition to Sedey's experience with McCarthy, he has been actively involved in a variety of professional organizations throughout his career including serving on the Associated General Contractors of Nevada Board of Directors, executive committee and government affairs committee; University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Construction Management Advisory Board; Montana State University Construction Management Advisory Board and Civil Engineering Advisory Board; and the American Concrete Institute.
