DALLAS--The Real Estate Council (TREC) announced today that Diane Butler, CEO of BBG, will lead the organization as chairman of the board of directors.

Butler will take over for Sue Ansel, president and CEO of Gables Residential, who will serve as past chairman. Greg Kraus, managing director of acquisitions for Invesco Real Estate, has been appointed to serve as vice chairman, with Christina Bailey, CFO of Humphreys & Partners, serving as treasurer and Susan Cox, a partner with Jones Day, serving as secretary.

"We are fortunate in North Texas to have so many talented and dedicated leaders who want to be involved in our community," Linda McMahon, president and CEO of TREC, told GlobeSt.com. "Their leadership in TREC makes it possible for us have a lasting impact."

Additional members of the 2016 TREC executive committee include the following: Jeff Montgomery, Evan Beattie, Greg Fuller, Eric Krueger, Mitch Paradise, Eric Beichler, Chris Hipps, Michele Wheeler, Vance Detwiler, Mitch Knicely, Josh Hedderich and Elias Bahar.

Additionally, TREC elected the following new members to the board of directors: Mike Ablon, Tom Bakewell, John Bartling, Lucy Billingsley, Shane Bowen, Glenn Callison, David Carroll, Jeff Courtwright, Dan Easley, Jeffrey Erxleben, David Evemy, Steve Everbach,Danny Hertel, Jim Johnson, Kennis Ketchum, Scott Krikorian, Neal Sleeper, Drew Steffen,Kristian Teleki and Shawn Todd.
