ORLANDO—In the wake of JLL acquiring Cresa South Florida, Caleb Lewis has joined JLL's Tampa office as a vice president. Lewis will work with the leadership team there to grow the firm's market share in Tampa Bay and strengthen the tenant rep practice.
"Caleb represents a significant addition to our JLL Tampa team and we are confident that his dedication to client advocacy and business development will help further enhance our tenant representation services in Tampa," says JLL senior vice president Brent Miller. "His shared vision for providing superior client service and market knowledge is a perfect fit for us. He also exemplifies our core values of integrity, trust and excellence that guide our firm's culture."
Lewis brings over 11 years of commercial real estate experience to JLL's table. He has represented tenants in the lease or purchase of 2.4 million square feet of office space.
The timing of his move to JLL is no accident. Lewis was part of Cresa's South Florida team was the principal of the firm's Tampa Bay office. Before joining Cresa, he worked for 10 years at Bishop & Associates, a boutique commercial real estate firm based in Tampa.
"The Tampa Bay office market is poised for continued rental rate growth and positive absorption in nearly every submarket as we enter 2016," Lewis tells GlobeSt.com. "If you are a larger tenant looking for 20,000-plus square feet, you are facing a dearth of quality available space options and confident landlords. Depending on their size requirement, tenants should begin reviewing their space requirements at least 18 to 24 months prior to lease expiration in order to establish negotiating leverage and secure favorable lease terms."
Lewis earned his bachelors of science degree from Greensboro College in North Carolina. He is a member of the trade organization NAIOP and is also affiliated with the Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Tampa and The University Club.
