LOS ANGELES—John Thomas has joined CBRE Global Investors as senior managing director overseeing the company's North American logistics investment strategy and execution and serving as global practice leader for the logistics business globally.

Prior to joining the firm, Thomas, who has spent more than 30 years in the industrial/logistics market in the US and internationally. He served as founder and president of Hillwood Investment Properties' European logistics platform, where he was responsible for the management, strategic direction and sourcing of transactions. He also previously served as global CIO and director of European operations for Panattoni Development Company, was co-founder and chief real estate officer for Clarion Partners' Lion Industrial Trust, and held senior roles with Crow Holdings and Trammell Crow Company.
