Hyatt Opens Across From Galleria

HOUSTON—Songy Highroads developed and owns Hyatt Place Houston Galleria and the Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria, which are part of a 7.6-acre mixed-use development that also contains two office towers along with high-end retail.

Hyatt Place Houston Galleria Nocerini says the Uptown District is the place for shopping, dining and entertainment.
HOUSTON—Atlanta-based Songy Highroads has opened Hyatt Place Houston Galleria , a new 157-room, select-service hotel located across from the world-renowned Galleria shopping center. The 12-story hotel, situated at 5252 W. Alabama St., is managed by Aimbridge Hospitality . It contains three floors of common space and nine guestroom floors with both suites and standard rooms. Onsite amenities include a swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, meeting space, a business center, 24/7 dining options, a market, along with a lobby coffee shop and bar. Todd Nocerini , COO of Hyatt Place’s owner, Songy Highroads, tells GlobeSt.com: “We’ve had a great, longstanding relationship with the Hyatt brand, having now opened three hotels with its flag in the past year alone. The new Hyatt Place Houston Galleria is a great addition to our portfolio and an even better addition to the Uptown Houston submarket.” Songy Highroads began development of the Hyatt Place Houston Galleria in August 2014 and also developed and owns the Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria, a 325-room, full-service hotel located adjacent to the Hyatt Place that opened in October 2015. The two hotels are part of a 7.6-acre mixed-use development that also includes two office towers along with high-end retail. “The Uptown District already offers some of Houston’s best shopping, dining and entertainment options, and now we get to add a premier select-service hotel to that mix,” says Nocerini. “With our Hyatt Regency already experiencing great success, we feel we’re providing options for every business and leisure traveler wishing to visit the city.”
