ORLANDO—There’s movement one of the largest new speculative industrial projects along the Interstate 4 corridor in Lakeland. Avison Young was just picked to handle leasing for the class A 275,226 square foot building under construction at Bridgewater Commerce Center.
Clay Witherspoon, principal and managing director for Avison’s Tampa office, will lead leasing for the project, owned by USAA Real Estate. The industrial complex sits in the southwest quadrant of Interstate 4 and Highway 33 in Lakeland, FL.
“Currently, there are no available blocks of space above 200,000 square feet at existing buildings along the prime stretch of I-4 between Highway 33 and US 27 to accommodate the large users actively seeking space in Lakeland’s tight industrial market,” Witherspoon tells GlobeSt.com. “With the limited amount of construction, the 275,226 square feet being developed at Bridgwater Commerce Center will be one of only a few new buildings that can accommodate large users and is built to exceed the requirements of today’s industrial tenants.”
